Larry Franklin is Chairman and CEO of Harte-Hanks, a worldwide direct marketing company that provides a full range of marketing services. Consumers in California and Florida are probably most familiar with the company's PennySaver and The Flyer shopper publications which arrive at millions of households each week. Harte-Hanks also manages PennySaverUSA.com, a nationwide network of local advertising content online for consumers and businesses. In its Direct Marketing operations, Harte-Hanks also manages the delivery of several billion pieces of mail, via the USPS, each year. The various parts of Harte-Hanks offer data quality, data-based marketing solution design and implementation, analytics, targeted email and a full range digital practice, fulfillment and targeted USPS mail addressing, printing, and various logistics services. Harte-Hanks claims to be North America's largest owner, operator and distributor of shoppers, with 13 million circulation weekly in 1100 separate editions of the PennySaver and Flyer each week in California and Florida, respectively.

Franklin joined Harte-Hanks in 1971, and a year later was named treasurer and CFO. In 1984, he was named COO; in 1991, he was named president and CEO. In 1999, he was named Chairman and CEO. He joined the board in 1974. In 2001 he resigned his position as chief executive officer but resumed it in November 2008.
