Max Aitken, 1st Baron Beaverbrook († 1964), was an Anglo-Canadian business tycoon and politician. An influential publisher, he owned the The Daily Express newspaper, as well as the London Evening Standard and the Sunday Express. His political career included serving as a Minister in the British government during both world wars.

Winston Churchill was a frequent visitor at the Villa La Capponcina. As far as I can tell, the mansion is still owned by the Aitken family.
