On Friday 31st May 2024, Compton VK2HRX, a radio amateur from NSW Australia, reached the summit of Mt Nameless and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Mt Nameless is 1131 metres (3711 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
