On Tuesday 2nd April 2024 at 12:44 UTC, Nicolas F8DGF, a radio amateur from France, made contact with Vladimir OK7DA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from NPR Karlštejn (OKFF-0085), on the 20m amateur radio band. Vladimir made a total of 45 contacts while at the reserve.
NPR Karlštejn (OKFF-0085), is a protected area of 1556.2018 hectares, which lies to the south-west of Prague in the Czech Republic. It was designated as a National Nature Reservation in 1955 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
