On Thursday 4th April 2024 at 10:57 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Jarmo OH2CGU/P, a radio amateur from Finland, who was operating from Paavolan luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-1720), on the 20m amateur radio band. Jarmo made a total of 119 contacts while at the reserve.
Paavolan luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-1720), is a protected area of 52 hectares located to the north-east of Helsinki in the south of Finland. It was designated in 2012 as a Private Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area Is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
