On Friday 5th April 2024 at 10:25 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Markus HB9DIZ/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from Regional Natur Park Gantrisch, BE Part (HBFF-0169), on the 40m amateur radio band.
Regional Natur Park Gantrisch, BE Part (HBFF-0169), is a protected area located in the Bern Canton, to the south of the city of Bern in Switzerland. The protected area is a Regional Nature Park covering 40,378.30 hectares.
Markus was at the summit of Schwendelberg (1296 metres asl) while he was at the park and made a total of 45 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
