On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 11:44 UTC, Luc ON2LVC, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Peter DL7VMM/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from Schlosspark Buch und angrenzende Waldfläche (DLFF-1038), on the 40m amateur radio band. Peter made a total of 88 contacts while at the reserve.
Schlosspark Buch und angrenzende Waldfläche (DLFF-1038))[Buch castle park and adjacent forest area], covers an area of 26.58 hectares lying in the north-east suburbs of Berlin, in Germany. It was established in 2016 as a Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
