Zakho Technical Institute (ZTI)is a technical institute affiliated to Dohuk Polytechnic university at 2012 . ZTI was originally established in 2002 affiliated to “Foundation of Technical Education Erbil”. ZTI provides technical education at levels of technical diploma, Bachelor degrees through 8 departments. Areas of education at ZTI include administration, health sciences, technology and computer sciences. ZTI Currently has over 1,000 students enrolled in 2-year courses leading to technical diploma.
Zakho Technical Institute strives to make higher education in Iraqi Kurdistan more relevant and responsive to the needs of the labour market in public and private sectors.
As a technical Institute we aim to educate skilled technical staff and experts in various specializations at levels of technical diploma and bachelor’s degree, to enhance their employability and enable them to serve the community and participate in its progress and development.
We believe that social and economic development of Kurdistan is not possible without strengthening of technical and vocational education and training; hence we envision our institute as a leading player in the future of Kurdistan.
