1959 – The Convair B-36 “Peacemaker” strategic bomber was retired.

2014 – A sinkhole opened under the floor of the Skydome area of the Corvette Museum causing a portion of the floor to collapse swallowing eight rare, one-of-a-kind, Corvettes.

Hole opens up in Corvette Museum and eats eight cars
