Yesterday (3/15/11) I saw a car with a street view camera on the roof go down Park Street in Alameda, CA. A few minutes ago my daughter said she saw it pass our house. It had a company name on the side that wasn't Google (I didn't recognize the name and couldn't remember it later).
Either Google is outsourcing new imagery updates or another company (Microsoft? Yahoo?) is gathering imagery too.

Bing Steetside is now available in Alameda. Are you visible in the imagery?

No. Figures though since I saw it on the main feeder it would use to enter and exit the island. It probably wasn't filming then.
But my wife and kids are in my front yard!
Thanks for pointing it out.
