Nicaragua's vice president claims his country has no intention of withdrawing its troops from a dredging project on the San Juan River in, what we now find out, Costa Rica (although the actual border is in dispute). Turns out the Nicaraguan official in charge of the project relied on nothing more than the coordinates provided by Google Maps to determine the location of the sensitive operation—coordinates that turned out to be inaccurate. The Costa Rican police (the country has no army) and Nicaraguan army now sit nose to nose as diplomats try to defuse the tension.
