Is anyone else using the new Google Maps interface?
I find it frustrating.
1. I haven't found a way to turn off labels. All maps are 'hybrid' when in aerial photo mode. 2. I haven't found a way to get the old 45 degree imagery. I can get fake tilted imagery that is butchered by horrible contour mapping algorithms but not the older 45 degree imagery.
Anyone having better luck?
BTW you can get back to the classic interface here:

I hit the same frustrations - primarily not being able to get the 45deg imagery. Looking at the product forums, it's a planned feature at some point soon, just not yet apparently.

The 45deg imagery is available, isn't it? like this: http://oi61.tinypic.com/2u5dt7o.jpg
I think it's a stunning imagery they offer with the new version, very impressive. On the other hand, it takes quite long to load, I have a very fast computer and connection but it takes forever till you see all the details.

Ah, looks like it's showing up in Chrome now (but not IE). Very awesome looking.
