Ok. Everyone can now see what we came up with for the current scavenger hunt. We're definitely planning more in the future. If you have ideas for things to be hunted for in the future, add them to this thread. More ideas are always good, and more ideas will help to avoid us having to repeat too many categories.

A clock on which the time is clearly visible
An abandoned bridge
A location with a Wikipedia entry
A landlocked lighthouse
An odd shaped building

Old fashioned (steam) locomotive
Roller hockey rink (with lines and nets, not just a thawed ice rink)
Pink Cadillac
Horse drawn carriage
Car painted like the General Lee
and my personal quest... an Oscar Mayer Weinermobile (there's a fleet of them)

I'm not going to respond directly to the individual suggestions here. Some may be used, some will not. I'd rather not hint at the final list for the next hunt before it goes public. I will say two things. Thank you both for the suggestions, and at least a couple of the suggestions are already on the list, which is definitely still a work in progress.
