This 3685 seat arena located on the campus of the University of New Brunswick opened in 1976. In addition to being used by the university's hockey and basketball teams, it holds concerts, shows, figure skating events, and conventions.
The Fredericton Red Wings junior hockey team played here from 1977-82. The Fredericton Express AHL minor league hockey team played here from 1981-88, and the Fredericton Canadiens AHL team called the Aitken Centre home from 1990-99.
