The archaeological site is located in modern-day Tunisia and are the remains of an ancient Roman city called Bulla Regia. The city was a former town in Carthaginian Empire but became Roman after their third win in the final of the three Punic Wars.

Several remains are located at the site and these include mosaic floors and several other Roman buildings like temples, arches, baths, forums and more. The site has a museum connected to it.
