Chris Kyle was a United States Navy SEAL. From 1999 to 2009, Kyle recorded more than 150 sniper kills, the most in U.S. military history. Kyle served four tours of duty in Iraq, participating in every major campaign of the war

Kyle left the Navy in 2009 and wrote a bestselling autobiography, American Sniper. A film based on the book and directed by Clint Eastwood, was later released.

Kyle was shot dead at a shooting range near Chalk Mountain, Texas on February 2, 2013
