| Description: | Donnie Kreitz, Jr., is a veteran winged sprint car racing driver. He primarily races with the Pennsylvania Posse at various dirt oval tracks in central Pennsylvania. His truck is parked in front of his family's racing parts business. Across the street from this scene, you can see the hauler of fellow racer Dave Ely.
Kreitz's father raced modifieds in Pennsylvania in the 1960's and 70's. Don Jr. helped out at the family's parts shop as a youngster and eventually began racing modifieds against his dad. In the early 80's, he began racing sprint cars.
In 1987, Kreitz had a brief experience in NASCAR, racing in five Busch Grand National events. He had three top-10 finishes and almost won the race at the Indianapolis Raceway Park, where he led 66 laps - losing the lead with 18 laps to go after stopping to refuel.
In 2012, Kreitz is going into semi-retirement and will mentor new driver Ryan Smith in Kreitz's #69 car. |
