The Motorplex is owned by Justin Marks, who has competed in various sports car racing series and every level of NASCAR racing. His current business partners are fellow NASCAR driver Michael McDowell and karting expert Eric Jones.

The GoPro Motorplex kart racing facility opened on October 8, 2012. The 0.7 mile course was designed after one of Europe's most historic karting venues, Italy's Kartodromo Parma.

The state-of-the-art facility not only features organized racing events, but it also rents karts to the general public and hosts corporate gatherings.
