Description:

Built in 1929, this stadium was the home field of the minor league team the Chattanooga Lookouts. Engel was one of the most classic and beloved stadiums in all of minor league baseball. Sadly, the new owners of the team decided they needed to upgrade. The end of the 1999 season saw the end of professional baseball at Engel; the Lookouts started play in their new stadium in April 2000.

Engel will not die, though. In 2002 the stadium was purchased by the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga who play their collegiate baseball at the park.
