Jaguar F-Type S Coupe

Jaguar F-Type S Coupe (StreetView)
The Jaguar F-Type was the spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type and also served as the XK's replacement. The nameplate's origins go back as early as 1982 in the form of two cancelled prototypes known as XJ41 and XJ42, to give the E-Type a true successor when they discovered that the XJ-S was too big. However, after Ford's takeover of Jaguar, the studies became the Aston Martin DB7 and the Jaguar XK8, and then in 2000, a roadster concept named "F-Type" was also unveiled. The prototype closest to the F-Type's design was 2011's C-X16, which ultimately became this sports car. The "S" designation is the mid-range trim, and comes with either a 3-liter supercharged V6 or a V8. However, it appears that Jaguar is killing off the supercharged V6 in other models in the near future due to stricter emissions regulations.
