The T230 generation was the Toyota Celica's last, produced from July 1999 to April 2006. In the United States and Canada, they came in either GT or a more powerful GT-S trim. As a result of a swiftly collapsing sports car market, both this and the MR2 were dropped from the U.S. market's lineup after 2005, in which production ended in Japan the following year.
