I put this URL into a posting: Code:
http://www.radomes.org/museum/showsite.php?site=Remsen+(Utica),+NY
Virtual Globetrotting dropped this from the link: (Utica),+NY
Giving me this: http://www.radomes.org/museum/showsite.php?site=Remsen+(Utica),+NY
See it in the Comments field: http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/starr-hill-test-site/
I even had a problem posting the complete URL in this forum. Is the trouble with the parentheses or with the length of the URL?

It also does not like commas. You can work around this issue by replacing the special characters with their HTML ASCII codes. %28 = ( %29 = ) %2c = , http://www.radomes.org/museum/showsite.php?site=Remsen+%28Utica%29%2c+NY

Many thanks, muchas gracias, vielen Dank, and so on. Sometimes it takes the commas, but not the parens. I will keep this in mind.

Hi guys,
I think I've fixed problems with both inline commas and parenthesis.
It's really hard to get this right with regular expressions so please let me know if you find problems.
