Major Google Local Database Upgrade

Google Local (AKA Google Maps) is now using the same database as Google Earth. They have also added the ability to zoom further in to a higher resolution in Google Local.

Here's just part of what's new. There were other differences preceding that that I'll try to find. Looks like they roll out database enhancements every two to three months.
