It should be hearabouts:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.551800,29.822388&spn=2.536302,3.548584&t=h&hl=en

According to Wikipedia:

Quote:

In particular, the farthest headstream of the Nile is the Ruvyironza River in Burundi, which is an upper branch of the Kagera River. The Kagera flows for 690 km (429 miles) before reaching Lake Victoria.

But I'll be darned if I can find it.

I think I have a candidate for you....

I started by working backwards.

This is the point where the Kagera River empties into Lake Victoria:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-0.944266,31.779499&spn=0.078104,0.120352&t=k&hl=en

And here is where the Kagera River begins to form the border between Uganda and Tanzania:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-0.999419,30.800372&spn=0.078103,0.120352&t=k&hl=en

Then it turns south and becomes the border between Tanzania and Rwanda:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-1.055747,30.471765&spn=0.078101,0.120352&t=k&hl=en

Then the Ruvubu River splits off from the Kagera River and heads south into Tanzania:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-2.388715,30.781094&spn=0.078047,0.120352&t=k&hl=en

After heading west the Ruvubu then becomes the border between Tanzania and Burundi:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-2.654823,30.526601&spn=0.078031,0.120352&t=k&hl=en

Then the Ruvuvbu forks, and the main branch heads into Burundi:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-2.948252,30.488292&spn=0.039006,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

The Ruvubu heads through the Ruvubu National Park, flanked by swamps on either side:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.156146,30.358507&spn=0.038998,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then it disappears behind some clouds:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.363316,30.058057&spn=0.038990,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

And re-appears to the west:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.370149,30.003664&spn=0.038990,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then I believe the Ruvyironza splits off from the Ruvubu and heads west:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.343306,29.992759&spn=0.038991,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then another split, with the Ruvyironza taking the eastern branch:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.512466,29.851108&spn=0.038984,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then another fork, a three or four way split, and the visible water disappears. From this point on you have to follow the green valleys, and we're interested in the one that heads due west.
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.685838,29.924253&spn=0.038976,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Admittedly, things become a bit speculative from here on; I wound up burning the candle from both ends. But using the terrain as a guide, I imagine we first have to skirt this mountain:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.697555,29.854856&spn=0.038976,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then head through this mountain pass between Mts. Bera and Muyogoro:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.798748,29.807670&spn=0.038971,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

Then south at the base of Mt. Sanzu:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.817502,29.831703&spn=0.038971,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

A few more twists and turns and we end up here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-3.884664,29.852314&spn=0.038968,0.060176&t=k&hl=en

which Google Earth's Geographic Features layer conveniently labels as Monument Rutovu, which has a symbolic pyramid:

according to the Tourism page for the Embassy of Burundi!

Perhaps more than anyone wanted to know...
