The Mikoyan MiG-29 (МиГ-29 in Cyrillic script) (NATO reporting name 'Fulcrum') is a fighter aircraft designed for the air superiority role in the Soviet Union. Designed in the early 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau, it entered service in 1983 and remains in use by the Russian Air Force as well as many export nations.
