The Land Venture trim level of the Suzuki Jimny mini-SUV (this JDM market unit meets qualifications to be a Kei Car), offers many different paint jobs and optional equipment, including a more upscale interior, but this is no Lexus UX, however. Optional equipment aside, the Jimny was born to take on virtually any terrain, continuously being produced since 1969 with the roots of military off-roaders from World War II, and this unit is in its 3rd generation that had gone out of production recently, in which a retro-styled 4th generation is expected to begin production later in the year. There were different fascias depending on the code and the market; this one is a JB23, in which it remained virtually unchanged over its entire 20-year run, rendering it quite a timeless SUV. It has gained a following by enthusiasts for its very compact size in which it is not too far from that of a Smart Fortwo, and a reasonable amount of horsepower for its size paired with a manual transmission, all components of a quality of driving that amuses who drives it.

With these traits, it could give America's supersized SUVs a run for their money.
