The private plane that Prigozhin took off from Moscow at about 18:00 local time on August 23, 2023, and planned to go to St. Petersburg. The plane was normal until 18:19 local time, when the plane "suddenly plummeted" within 30 seconds, dropping more than 8,000 feet from a flight altitude of 28,000 feet. According to reports, Seven passengers and three crew members were killed. The seven-passenger list includes almost all senior leaders of the Wagner Group, including Wagner Group founder Prigorzhin. All 10 bodies have been found on the plane.
