Allagash Ghost Trains

Allagash Ghost Trains

Northwest Piscataquis, Maine (ME), US
These are a pair of abandoned locomotives in the Allagash region of Maine. They were once used by a logging company to haul pulpwood to, at the time, the world's largest paper mills in East Millinocket and Millinocket, Maine from approximately 1925 to 1933.

They are very remote, several miles from the nearest main road, and are only accessible by hiking trail or canoe from the nearby lake.
