Arch of Malborghetto

Arch of Malborghetto

Rome, Italy (IT)
The Arch of Malborghetto is a Roman tetrapylon triumph arch on the Via Flaminia in Malborgetto 19 km north of Rome. The arch is thought to have been built sometime near 315 AD. The arch stands on the crossroads of two important Roman roads - the Via Flaminia and the Via Veientana.

The original marble coating of the arch has been completely lost, but the body of the arch is still clearly visible today as a house. In 1256, the arch ports were bricked up and the arch was converted into a church.
