Automotive Testing Properties (part of DaimlerChrysler) Laredo, TX proving grounds. Originally built by Uniroyal, sold to Daimler after Michelin acquired Uniroyal.

It was the Uniroyal test track, its at the Uniroyal exit 13 on I-35

I was there in approx. 1998 with a supplier of Daimler for car testing, at that time the place was called Uniroyal Proving Ground. Shortly afterwards Daimler bought it. The five miles high speed circle track is still visible in parts (Dec. 2024)
