Movie star and sex symbol, Ava Gardner, purchased this white stucco cottage in Nichols Canyon in Hollywood Hills (which was the first home she owned) in 1948, after divorcing her second husband, bandleader, Artie Shaw. Gardner resided here until she married her third husband, singer and actor, Frank Sinatra, in 1951.
