This is the crash site of B-24D Liberator Serial Number 42-40885. After a bombing mission, the Liberator ran low of fuel and crash landed here, the pilots ordered the crew to bail and they took it to the ground. All crew survived and were helped by the locals. They were latered rescued by American Forces.
