On Thursday 7th July 2022 Declan EI6FR/P a radio amateur from Co. Wicklow, Ireland reached the summit of Blackstairs Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 49 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
