On Wednesday 9th November 2022, John VK6NU/P, a radio amateur from Western Australia reached the summit of Bluff Knoll and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 28 contacts in total working on the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
