On Saturday 18th November 2023, Adele ZS5APT and Sid ZS5AYC, a couple of radio amateurs from South Africa, reached the summit of Bokkiesberg and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 49 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Bokkiesberg is 2238 metres (7343 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
