Bombed Attu Airfield

Former WWII-era landing field. The Northern Landing Force, consisting of the 1/17 INF and 3/32 INF, swept through this area on their way to take Attu back from the Japanese in May 1943. This runway was bombed on several occasions and was never repaired.
