On Monday 24th April 2023, Juerg OK/HB9BIN/P and Bruno OK/HB9CBR/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Boubín and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 106 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m and 15m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Boubín is 1362 metres (4469 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
