On Thursday 25th August 2022, Kevin KI7YDK and Bill KJ7ZDH two radio amateurs from Arizona reached the summit of Brazos Ridge and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 10 contacts in total working on the 20 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Brazos Ridge is 3342 metres (10965 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
