Bud Pencer, born as Carlo Pedersoli (31 October 1929 – 27 June 2016) was an Italian actor mainly known in the italo westerns with Terence Hill.

Pedersoli was also Olympic swimmer for Italy in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and 1954 in Melbourne reaching the semi finals in both events. He was the first Itatian swimmer to swimm the 100m under one minute (59.5 seconds). He also played water polo in a top level and became Italian champion in 1954 with his club S.S. Lazio and the gold medal at 1955 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona with the Italian national team.
