On Sunday 2nd July 2023, Manuel IN3EHQ/P, a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Castel di Bombasel and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 23 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.
