On Monday 1st April 2024 at 09:45 UTC, Milan S58MU, a radio amateur from Slovenia made contact with Fred OK/DH5FS/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from CHKO Labské pískovce (OKFF-0009), on the 30m amateur radio band.
CHKO Labské pískovce (OKFF-0009)[Elbe sandstones] is a Protected Area covering 24,261 hectares lying to the north of Prague in the north of the Czech Republic on the border with Germany. In 1972 it was designated as a Protected Landscape Area and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
