The Church of Saint Mary is an Anglican church perched above cliffs in the town of Whitby. There are 199 steps that lead up the hill to the church. The site was founded by Normans around 1110 and the interiors date to the late 1700's.

Bram Stoker used the church graveyard as a setting for his 1897 novel, Dracula. The church is used as Dracula's graveyard after his ship runs aground at Whitby.
