The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most is a late Gothic church, which was built after the town fire in 1517–1550. He gained notoriety especially in 1975, when he was moved by rails by 841 meters to be rescued from a city that was razed to the ground due to coal mining. It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the transport of the heaviest object by rail.

On September 15, 1975, the lifting and loading of the entire building began. The move itself began on September 30 at 11 a.m. 50 minutes. The track had an arched floor plan and was 841.1 m long with a slope of 12.3 per mille. The church moved along it continuously at a speed of 1.2 to 3.2 cm per minute. The transfer was completed on October 27, 1975 at 8 hours 52 minutes.
