William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney (11/20/1969) is the head football coach at Clemson. Swinney started at Clemson as an assistant coach for wide receivers in 2003 and went on to add Recruiting Coordinator to his titles. Swinney excelled while coaching the ACC-leading receivers and also in bringing in top talent to Clemson.
Swinney was made interim head coach after Tommy Bowden resigned six games into the 2008 season. Dabo has faired well in his role, winning one ACC title and leading the Tigers to a bowl game in every season including the 2011 Orange Bowl. Dabo continues to recruit well allowing the Clemson Tiger football program to stay at the top of the ACC and the nation.
