The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is in north-eastern Ohio between the cities of Cleveland and Akron. It is something of a hidden gem set among the bustling urban areas close by.
The park covers approximately 33,000 acres along the banks of the Cuyahoga River and is refuge for native plants and wildlife, with deep forests, rolling hills, and open farmland. The river has some towering waterfalls and there are many scenic trails.
