On Sunday 21st August 2022, 6K5XZE and DS5SQS two radio amateurs from South Korea reached the summit of 만복대 (Manbokdae) and activated this summit on the radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 35 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and 40 and 15 metre HF amateur radio band.
