Edgington Oil Company was founded by Ralph Edgington on December 1, 1941. On December 7th, bombs were dropped on Pearl Harbor and the United States Armed Services called upon him to provide asphalt for the military's South Pacific air strips. The refinery produced 68% of the asphalt needs to the war effort in the Pacific during World War 2. After the war the refinery adapted to the needs of its customers and continues to do so to this day. Currently the list of products produced and supplied include naptha, jet fuel, diesel fuel, VGO/Gasoil, roofing and paving asphalt, and fuel oil.
