Fairbury American Legion Speedway

Fairbury American Legion Speedway

Fairbury, Illinois (IL), US
Auto racing has been held at the Fairbury Fairgrounds since the mid-1920's. Cars drove on a 1/2 mile track until 1939, when the current 1/4 mile oval was created. After closing during WWII, the track has remained open since 1946 and is operated by the local American Legion.

An old covered grandstand lines the front stretch, but many fans prefer the view from the bleachers in the back stretch.
