On Saturday 16th July 2022 Marcel DM3FAM/P a radio amateur from Germany reached the summit of Feldberg and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 138 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 60, 40, 20 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Feldberg is 1493 metres (4898 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
