Former Staines West Railway Station

Former Staines West Railway Station

Staines-upon-Thames, United Kingdom (GB)
Staines West Station was opened 1885 and closed 29.3.1965. Staines West Station was part of the Staines West Branch in England.

Today the platform has been demolished and the station building has now become an office. Part of the side platform and concourse remain (but rebuilt and faced with bricks). Two of the cast iron supporters for the canopy remain and are used as lights in the office's car park. The wall than ran along the back of the platform also still remains. An original section of track has been laid in the car park as a feature and a buffer stop has also been placed just at the entrance/exit of the car park. The goods yard and the rest of the station is now a residential area.
